My dog is vomiting, acting weird, and has strange pee/poop. No vet?

Hello, my dog is vomiting and behaving strangely. His urine and stool is also wierd. There is no vets around how can i help him?

There is not much to be done without a physical exam and diagnostics. You can try withholding food for 12-24 hours. Allow small amounts of water or an unflavored electrolyte replacement liquid. Resume feeding a bland diet in small frequent amounts until the symptoms resolve before transitioning slowly to his regular diet. There are veterinarians in the Bahamas. You can use your preferred search engine to find one online and get an appointment. An exam is strongly recommended to diagnose illness or injury.

Vomiting constantly is quite serious, and it requires an immediate vet visit. He could have a severe GI illness, may have eaten something rotten, could have a foreign body, or could have pancreatitis. I strongly urge you to take Digong into a vet now.

Chronic vomiting, has multiple causes but may cause an electrolyte imbalance which could account for the symptoms you are seeing. If he is drinking more water than usual, he should be seen by your vet for an exam and bloodwork to rule out kidney disease, diabetes or other GI issues. When a pet is vomiting, withhold food for 12-24 hours. Allow small amounts of water or unflavored PediaLyte. Resume feeding a bland diet (1:1 ratio of plain boiled boneless chicken and plain white rice). Feed in small, frequent amounts waiting at least one hour between feedings. If he won't eat, serve the food warm or mix in a teaspoon of baby food to stimulate the appetite. If the vomiting stops, transition slowly to the regular diet. If not or if the appetite does not return, then you will need to see your veterinarian.

If you have recently switched his food or added in a new treat it could be dietary indiscretion causing this. If this were the case, I would withhold food for 12 hours and introduce a bland diet as outlined below. If, however, there has been no recent switch to his food and he has been on the same thing his whole life this is likely something else. My recommendation would be to have a veterinarian take a look at him and run some testing such as blood work to see if there are any concerning changes that need to be addressed. This is a tough situation because she is likely suffering from some degree of dehydration on top of any underlying condition. Try withholding food for 12-24 hours. Allow or syringe feed small amounts of water or unflavored PediaLyte. Resume feeding a bland diet ( boiled boneless / skinless chicken and plain white rice) in small, frequent amounts. Serve warm or mix in a teaspoon or two of baby food to stimulate the appetite. If the vomiting stops, continue feeding until the stool is normal then transition slowly to the regular diet. If the vomiting or diarrhea don't stop, you will need to see a veterinarian. Contact your local animal shelter and ask about low cost clinics. Consider a financing option such as CareCredit.

I would suggest to withhold food for the next 8-12 hours and then start feeding with a bland diet based on boiled chicken and rice in small portion every 6 hours for the following 48hours. Then gradually reintroduce the normal diet over 5 days. I would definitively recommend a veterinary check up if the signs persist or you notice diarrhoea, more vomiting, lethargy or inappetence. If she develops lethargy, loss of appetite or abdominal pain, have her physically examined by your veterinarian.

I woke up this morning to my dog farting and having liquid poops all over the house, and now she is throwing up.
I recommend getting your pet in to be seen by your veterinarian right away. Continued vomiting and diarrhea together are very concerning and can lead to dehydration and electrolyte imbalance as well as low blood sugar. She might have eaten something that either disagreed with her or something that has gotten stuck somewhere in her gastrointestinal tract. She could be sore from a hidden injury you are unaware of, she could have been exposed to some sort of toxin or irritant in her environment or this could be early signs of another condition or disease process. Your pet may need IV fluids to help support his/her system and to be fasted at the same time in order to give the gut a rest. Your vet can do an exam, blood work and possibly x-rays to determine the cause of the illness and suggest an effective treatment plan.

I'm sorry to hear that your dog is sick! Dark-colored urine is usually a sign of dehydration, which would make sense if he hasn't been eating or drinking today. These are very vague symptoms that could be caused by almost any kind of illness, so it's hard to say what might be wrong without being able to examine him and do some testing. If he had only vomited once and was acting normal otherwise (eating and drinking fine, active, etc.) I would suggest feeding a bland diet of plain boiled chicken and rice for the next day or two to see if this helps to settle his stomach. Since he isn't eating or drinking, however, I'm worried that something more serious may be going on. I'm also concerned that he will continue to become more dehydrated the longer this goes on, and unfortunately there isn't much you can do at home to help him if he won't take anything by mouth.
