What should I feed a 7 week old rottie pup? He is flatulent and has a toxic breath, eating puppy chow. Hiccups are fairly frequent. Pet's info: Dog | Rottweiler | Male | unneutered | 1 month and 22 days old | 11 lbs

Puppy chow is the recommended food for a seven week old puppy, but quality is very important as well. A low quality food would give Rowdy gas. Gas could also be caused by intestinal worms, which can give him bad breath as well. Intestinal worms are very common in puppies, and if Rowdy isn't up to date on his deworming treatments, I would give him Panacur which you can get OTC. Hiccups occur when a puppy eats too fast, and I would give him a little bit of food at a time during his meal time to slow down his eating. In terms of food, I would feed him a high quality puppy food such as Royal Canin or Hills Science diet.
