HI I HAVE A FEMALE COCKERPOO 4 YEARS OLD IN JULY. BOBINA IS A HIGH ENERY DOG. SHE FINDS IT DIFFICULT TO CALM DOWN AT BEDTIME FOR US. SHE HAS BEEN ON PROZAC FOR MOST OF HER LIFE 10MG AT NIGHT. A FRIEND SAID PROZAC KILLED HER BICHON A 5 YEARS OLD. KIDNEY FAILURE. I TRUST MY VET FOR 20 YEARS!! WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT PROZAC?

According to Plumb's veterinary drug handbook, kidney failure is not an adverse effect of Prozac use. More than likely, your friend's dog developed kidney failure due to another reason, not the Prozac. I would continue to trust your vet, as they have the training and knowledge in veterinary matters :-)
