My dog is eating poop and acting needy. Is she sick or something?

Yesterday my dog defacated in the lounge and started to eat it until I walked in and stopped her. She's been acting very needy lately (constantly in need of attention) which isn't like her. I don't know what's wrong with her. Pet's info: Dog | Jack Russell Terrier | Female | 7 years and 1 month old
