My dog has a boil-like growth. Are there non-surgical treatments?

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | 110 lbs

growth looks like a boil - vet says nonspecific growth. Wants $1200 to remove. Is there any treatment I can give

Without seeing Sam in person, I can't say if there is another treatment you can do for him. Typically though, it is good to have a growth removed, as it prevents it from growing bigger. The vet may also want to send it off for a biopsy to see if it's malignant, which would be another important reason to have it removed. You can also take Sam into another vet for a second opinion.
