What causes my dog's bad breath and how can I prevent heartworm?

According to the article I will link below, vectors that carry heartworm (mosquitos) have been found in Bosnia and Herzegovina, so I would speak to your vet to see if they have seen cases of heartworm in your country. If so, I recommend giving Bella Heartgard. It's an excellent heartworm prevention. She has to be tested for heartworms first before it's safe to give her the medication. Bad breath is a sign of a dental problem in dogs, and while you can brush her teeth at home, I would have Bella seen by a vet. The bad breath can be caused by severe gingivitis, tooth root abscess, or a broken tooth, all of which can only be treated by a vet. If you do want to start daily brushing of Bella's teeth, make sure to use a dog toothbrush and a dog toothpaste. Human toothpaste contains ingredients that are toxic to dogs, and can never be used on Bella.
