Pet's info: Dog | Siberian Husky | Male | neutered | 45 lbs
About a year ago my siberian husky Loki broke his hip and had to have a hip replacement surgery. After the healing process was over he was doing great, using the hip normal. About a month later he stopped using it altogether. As a result he is dangling his hurt leg above the ground and it is chaffing against the floor and causing an open wound. I have tried putting a sock but it is impossible to get on and wont stay on. I am spraying with antibacterial spray but it is not healing. please help.

At this point I would be less worried about the wound and deeply concerned about he is not using his leg. With any kind of implants I worry about infection. I would see your orthopedic veterinarian right away. He can address the wound as well.
