My dog still has fleas after Sentry Fiproguard. What's next?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | unneutered | 80 lbs

I used Sentry Fiproguard plus on my dog for fleas 2 weeks ago. It was his 2nd treatment His first treatment being 30 days prior. He is still covered with flea. I clean and vacuum every day. I have had my home and yard treated as well. Can I use the Seresto collar in conjunction with the Sentry Fiproguard Plus.

I'm sorry Cooper still has a problem with fleas! The issue with Sentry Fiproguard is that it's not a very good quality product, and that's probably why you are still have issues with fleas. Instead of using the collar, which has it's own issues, I would give Cooper Capstar. It's a one time pill you can safely give him now and that starts killing fleas in 30 minutes. In two weeks time, I would then give him Advantage or Revolution spot on treatment. Both are excellent, and I personally have used them with great success. You can give Capstart again during this two week time if needed, just not more than once a day.
