My dog cut his nail quick. How to stop licking without a vet visit?

I was cutting chico's nails and he moved and I cut his quick it has stopped bleeding but he won't stop liking it I was wondering what you suggest to stop the liking bc I don't think it is important enough to go to the vet. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | neutered | 8 lbs
