Hi Abby is a 4 year old Australian shepherd mix. Tuesday night she had 2 grand mal seizures 5 to 10 minutes apart. Yesterday she vomited and still has diarrhea. Today I've noticed she has lost weight. This is way out of the ordinary for her. I'm trying to get into our local vet but have to wait until I get paid Friday. What could be the causes? I've already checked for mold in her food, any possible toxins. I found none, or anything she could get into.

Poor Abby! She could have idiopathic epilepsy, an infection, inflammation, kidney disease, liver disease, electrolyte abnormality, endocrine disease, toxin, or a brain tumor. She really needs to be examined by a vet to determine the cause and treat the problem. If she has idiopathic epilepsy than your vet can prescribe an anti-convulsant to help control the seizures.
