My rabbit has a bald lump at vaccine site. Is this a normal reaction?

Hi, I have two baby rabbits who had their myxi jab just over 2 weeks ago. One has had no ill effects, but one developed a 3cm diameter fleshy lump at the injection site. Today, the lump has gone bald! Is this a normal side effect, or should i be worried?

It is not uncommon to have a small lump at the injection site from a localized reaction to the vaccine. It is a little concerning that the area has gone bald am I am worried it could be infected. You could monitor the area and see if it changes but it might be best to have your vet take a look at it to see if treatment is needed. She may need an antibiotic to treat.
