My dog chewed a pill bottle, acting normal. Does he need a vet?

Pet's info: Dog | Boxer | Male | neutered | 60 lbs

My 60 lb Boxer chewed a pill bottle of Buspironed 10mg not sure if there were any pills in bottle. He is acting normal looks normal and is eating and drinking do I need to do anything

The concern I would have about this is if Tucker did eat any of the pills. Buspirone is an anti-anxiety drug, and while it can be used in dogs, depending on how many he may have eaten, he could suffer an overdose of it. You may see vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, or disorientation. It would be best to have Tucker seen by a vet now who can decide an appropriate course of treatment for him to prevent any chance of overdose.
