Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | spayed | 9 years old | 22 lbs
My adult, well-trained dog just peed in my bed. She is also shedding more than usual.

This could be either due to a true urinary disease such as an infection or kidney problem, or it could be urinary incontinence which is common at this age. i recommend taking her to the vet for a urine analysis in order to get that checked and treated. i would not think that the excessive shedding is related to the urinary condition though.

She could have a urinary tract infection. Have your vet examine her to determine the cause. Your vet can check a urine sample for infection and then prescribe medications, if needed. You could also bathe her with a moisturizing dog shampoo and see if that helps with her shedding.
