My Cane Corso has a red bump that isn't getting better. What is it?

Pet's info: Dog | Cane Corso | Male | unneutered | 101 lbs

Cane Corso 6 months old 101 pounds Red, hard, quarter size, hairless bump on rear end, vet said possible histiocytoma. Isn't getting better. 2weeks since it started. Keeps licking it

It could be a histiocytoma and it may resolve with no treatment in time. Your vet can do a needle aspirate to determine the exact cause. If he is really bothering the area than removing the bump may be the best option. Call your vet and give him/her an update and see what is recommended. If he continues to lick the area, it is going to become very irritated so you may need to put an E-collar on him.
