Why is my French Bulldog breathing fast and heavy? Is it normal?

My frenchie is brethubg at a fast rate, I'm not sure this it totally normal

No, it's not normal for a dog to have an increased respiratory rate if they didn't just finish exercising or it's not hot out. This can be a sign of pain in dogs, and I would keep an eye on Dolly for now. If this fast breathing continues, or she becomes lethargic, has difficulty breathing, stops eating and drinking, or has any other behavior changes, I would take her into a vet right away.
