My German Pointer has rhinitis and new lumps. What should I do now?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | German Shorthaired Pointer (duplicate) | Male | unneutered

Our two year old German pointer was diagnosed with rhinitis. The vet has tried everything but nothing has worked. Today I noticed he has lumps all alone his spine bone. We really dont know what to do next we don't want our dog to be suffering.

If Alfie has not had an endoscopy of the nose yet, then this may be the time. If your vet cannot find a cause, he may refer you to UCD Vet College for further investigation. If I knew where in Ireland you lived, I could recommend a vet clinic to you. The lumps along his spine could be abscesses, or a skin reaction to some allergen.
