Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | neutered | 9 months and 7 days old | 10 lbs
My cat Clyde of 9 months isn't acting normally today I noticed he's very needy and when he came and sat on my lap I noticed many wet spots all over me from his nose or mouth. I don't see actually drool dropping from his mouth but his chin is very wet. Is this normal behavior or should I take him in to the vet? Thank you for your time.

There could be a couple of things causing this in Clyde. He could have just had a drink of water, and that made his chin wet. He could have a dental problem causing excess salivation. Finally, he could be really happy to see you, and he's so relaxed that he's drooling a bit, just enough to make his chin wet. The only abnormal thing that could be causing this is his teeth, so I would monitor Clyde for now. If you notice his chin wet all the time, not just when he's seeking attention from you, then I would take him into the vet for an exam.
