What is this brown, crusty, pus-filled lump on my puppy's armpit?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Pomeranian | Female | unspayed | 3 months and 22 days old | 7 lbs

I've recently found a brown, crusty lump on my puppies left armpit and I'm getting a bit worried. It doesn't seem to bother her when it's touched but it looks like it may have secreted son pus. Any idea on what it may be? Many thanks, Maisie

Hi Maisie! If there is some pus coming out of it, this lump could be an abscess on Mika. It could also be due to a bacterial skin infection. I would have Mika seen by a vet tomorrow or first thing on Monday to have the lump examined and diagnosed. Once a diagnosis is found, the vet can discuss treatment with you.
