My puppy fell, breathing fast. What if I can't afford a vet bill?

My puppys was playing on a friend's porch witch is kinda high one puppy slipped of porch and started crying, I check his bones later down to feel in stomach he show Lil diss comfort,but mostly in the face area. He resting now but he's breathing kind fast then regular,he a ABKC male pup at age of 4 months. No vomiting or diarrhea,tho he was drinking water but IDK if because he rest he don't want none,¿ but this what I'm dealing with I don't have money for pet bills, I'm keeping close eyes on him

If he's sleeping, his breathing can change in response to any dreams he may be having, so this is normal. I would monitor him for now, and if any swelling appears or he starts limping, he will have to see a vet. I will give you some resources that may help you afford a vet should you need to take him into one. You can see if your vet accepts payment plans, if there is a low cost clinic in your area, or you can apply for Care Credit online. There is also an organization called Red Rover that give grants for treatment of sick animals, and you can see if you qualify for one of their grants.
