My puppy has worms after playing. Is it from an unvaccinated dog?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Siberian Husky | Female | spayed | 1 month and 3 days old | 10 lbs

My puppy just got his shots like 2 weeks ago and he played with a puppy that didn't and I checked his poop at night and it seemed that he had some worm kind of looking things in the poop. Would playing with that puppy be the cause of this ?

The vaccinations that Storm would have received 2 weeks ago will not have treated any pre-existing worm burden. Worms in puppies is very common and it is possible that Storm had worms prior to playing with the other puppy. They are easily treated and I would recommend contacting your veterinarian so that they can prescribe a suitable course of deworming for your puppy.
