My dog is pregnant, scan shows puppies but no heartbeats. What now?

Had my dog scanned today she said 3 puppies but could not find heartbeats thanks. Pet's info: Dog | Samoyed | Female | unspayed | 2 years and 6 months old

I'm sorry no heartbeats could be found on Mishka's puppies! Unfortunately, unless the heartbeats were extremely difficult to find for some reason, it's more likely that the puppies are not alive. This can happen sometimes, and it's very sad when it does. I'm not sure how far along she is in her pregnancy, and that helps determines the next step. If she's at a later date in her pregnancy, then she will likely expel the puppies herself, although the vet may need to help with hormone injections to get her to do into labor. I would speak with your vet about options. Again, I'm very sorry.
