My cat is weak, vomiting yellow liquid, won't eat. What to do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | 7 months and 15 days old | 6.6 lbs

I lost my cat all day yesterday, when he returned about 1 hour ago his body looks very weak and vomiting in the form of a yellow liquid. When I gave him favorite food he would not eat and look not tasteful at all. Something about my cat why? And how do I treat it? Thank you in advance docks, sorry to bother.

It's no bother at all, it's what we are here for :-) I'm sorry that Aan is so sick. He could have eating something rotten, he could have gotten into something toxic, or he could have a foreign body. Given that he looks very weak and is vomiting, I would take Aan into a vet immediately. He need medical attention now.

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I am sorry Muy is so sick. It is best that he be seen by a Vet if he is weak and vomiting. Causes of vomiting are: foreign body ingestion (something is stuck that requires surgery to remove), toxin ingestion, intestinal parasites, food allergies or dietary indiscretion, pancreatitis, Feline Infectious Peritonitis., other viral or bacterial infections. There also maybe regional difference. Your Vet may want to take belly X-rays and/or do blood work before recommended a treatment plan for him. I hope this helps and I wish Muy a speedy recovery!
