My Chihuahua was bitten by a Pitbull, seems fine. Should I see a vet?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 2 years old | 8 lbs

Me and my family were dogsiting a friends pitbull and to being our Chihuahua chico did not like him and we were sitting on the couch and the pitbull bit our Chihuahua and he was yelping then when he calmed down I took a look don't really see any swelling and there is no blood and he can move it fine at first it hurt him when we touched it but now it doesn't and he can move it what should we do!

Poor Chico! I'm very sorry he was bit. If he can move it and it doesn't hurt to touch him, he may have been startled by the bite more than anything. I would have him seen by a vet in the morning for a health check to be safe, however. If he can't move it and/or it hurts for him to be touched, I would take him into a vet right away.

    If you want to make sure that your Chico is not hurt, then you should have him examined by a veterinarian. If he is moving fine now and does not appear in pain, then you can monitor the situation. If he is still fine tomorrow, then he likely did not get hurt. However, if he is lame, or appears hurt or in pain you need to take him to a vet tomorrow.
