My dog is shaking after parvo. Is it fever, pain? Can I give aspirin?

My 3yr old dog has had parvo for a little over a week now.. She's feeling much better now, and playing & eating a little but, but she's been shaking a lot even when it's warm or she's wrapped up in a blanket. Could she have a fever? And if I give her asprin will it help?

It is very unusual for a three-year old dog to get infected with parvo. Did your veterinarian make this diagnosis? If she indeed had parvo she should not have diarrhea anymore and the vomiting should have stopped. Shaking is a sign of pain, usually. Please do not give her aspirin as this could cause her to bleed again, or cause ulcers. Please take her to the vet for a recheck to make sure she is indeed getting better.

Please do not give Jenova aspirin. It's never recommended to give to dogs because it causes GI ulcers and internal bleeding. You can take her temperature rectally. A dog's normal temperature is 101-102.5F. If it's above 103F, then you will need to take her into a vet. Shaking is also a sign of pain in dogs. If her temperature is normal, then I would keep her warm and comfortable tonight, and if the shaking continues into the morning, I would have her seen by a vet.
