Why is my 5-month-old female cat rubbing and groaning on the floor?

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | unspayed | 4 months and 15 days old | 5 lbs

I have a 5 month old cat she keeps rubbing her back and front on the carpet and when she does that she also grown and moans while doing it has been doing it for 2 days what is it and how can I help?

It is possible that Kaleo is going into heat. Cats can go into heat from six months of age, but it can occur sooner. Going into heat would cause this behavior. If you don't want her to have kittens, I recommend keeping her indoors at times unless her heat is over (usually one to two weeks), and I would then have her spayed after the heat passes to prevent this behavior in the future and to keep her from having kittens.
