First thing is to stay calm. Your dog will take care of everything, I would only stand back and watch. You don't need to do anything unless there are problems with her giving birth. If you notice her actively straining for more than 30 minutes with no puppy produced, she will need to see a vet immediately. If more than two hours pass between puppies, she will need to see a vet immediately. Should there be more than four hours between the onset of stage two of labor (contractions) without the first puppy being born, she will need to see a vet immediately. A greenish-black discharge indicates separation of the placenta, and that requires a trip to the vet immediately. Finally, if there is a bloody discharge passed prior to the delivery of the first puppy or between puppies, then she has to see a vet right away. If you have any questions or concerns, you can give your vet a call for guidance. Good luck, I hope it goes well :-)
