My dog has a boil under his tongue. How long does it take to heal?

My 1 yr old gsd is having boil beneath his tongue he also has little impression above of it also looks like tongue bite own its own but if it happened then usually how much time does it take to get recover also boil is not increasing in size I found this last Monday only it's been a week so usually how much time does it take to get recover

I would expect it to get better within 1-2 weeks. If it persists and/or becomes larger than he should be examined by a vet to determine the cause. He may need an antibiotic or anti-inflammatory to help treat.
