My sphynx rat is still wheezing after vet treatment. What now?

My sphynx rat is having breathing problems. I took him to a vet a over a month ago and he told me it was his bedding's fault. He prescribed some antibiotic nose drops (he said it was irritation, the "wheezing" sounds he made didn't come from a problem with the lungs) and changed his diet. I followed his instructions but he's still having issues. His wheezing sounds still come from time to time and I don't know what else to do. Retaking him to the vet is impossible for me till next month, sadly.

I am sorry to hear your pet has not recovered. Unfortunately, it does not seem that he is responding to therapy. At this point, I think you need to try and get him back to the veterinarian as soon as possible. He probably needs x-rays. As an alternative, try contacting your veterinarian and explaining that your pet has not responded. He or she may be able to prescribe additional medications.
