My dog hurt his left paw toe. You can move the paw, it's just his toe is kind of separated from his other toes. He can walk on it, with a slight limp. What at home remedies can I do? And what pain medince can I give? Please help.

Poor Boss! Please do not give him any human pain medications, as many are toxic to dogs and can be fatal if given. I would rest him for the next 48 hours. No running, jumping, or playing. Take him out to toilet on a lead only, and bring him right back in when he's done. If Boss is still limping in after this time period, then I would take him into the vet for an exam. Should the limping get worse and he progresses to non-weight bearing, don't wait the 48 hours and take Boss into the vet right away.

I'm sorry Havoc is in pain! Please do not give him any human pain medications, as many are toxic to dogs and can be fatal if given. I would rest him tonight. No running, jumping, or playing. Take him out to toilet on a lead only, and bring him right back in when he's done. Definitely take him into the vet in the morning. The vet can diagnose where the pain is coming from, and can dictate a treatment plan for it. The vet can also prescribe safe pain medication as needed. Good luck, I hope this helps!
