My dog was hit by a remote. She yelped but seems fine. Should I worry?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | unspayed | 4 years and 7 months old | 6 lbs

My son accidentally threw the TV remote fairly hard and hit my 6 pound dog, she let out a little welp but has been acting normal and sleeping (which she does a lot of) since. Should I be worried? Also she is a toy poodle shih tzu mix and is 4 years old.

Ouch, poor Mimi! Given that she's been acting normally and sleeping since, I would not be worried about it. It probably hurt her and startled her to get hit, but if she was seriously injured, there would be signs such as abnormal behavior, difficulty walking, and blood from her nose among others. She's likely fine, but if you are very concerned, it's certainly ok to have her checked out by a vet :-)
