Is Metrogyl dosage safe for my 3-month-old kitten's diarrhea?

my vet prescribed metrogyl(for kids) to treat my kitten's diarrhea(Half teaspoon, 2 times a day). My kitten is 3 and half months old.i wanted a second opinion about the dosage.Is the dosage fine? i am concerned because the vet has a history of giving wrong treatments.(I KNOW U GUYS CANT TALK ABOUT DOSAGE,BUT I TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR MY PET AND I WONT HOLD YOU RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS TO MY CAT) 1)correct dosage of metrogyl for kittens. 2) is metrogyl safe for young kittens? I can tell you that metrogyl contains metronidazole, which is used in cats safely.
