Why is my pug losing hair with rash and scabs after grooming?

I have a 7year old Pug who had their nails trimmed at a PetValu groomer 10 days ago, today we noticed hair loss in small patches as well as a rash on his abdomen and scab like areas under the hair loss. Could this be a Staph infection? Pet's info: Dog | Pug | Male | unneutered | 7 years old | 20 lbs
