My puppy won't jump on the bed. Is it normal for puppies to be scared?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Havanese | Male | unneutered | 7 months and 17 days old

My puppy doesn't try to jump on higher places like the bed which he could easily reach and he is scared even when he jumps off. Is that normal? I don't mind him not getting on every possible surface, but I've seen puppies his size leap on top of tall chairs etc

It's fine that Kiba doesn't want to jump on high places. He could be frightened of it, and he may prefer being lifted onto and off the bed. It's fine, as there's no chance he could hurt himself if he's lifted onto and off the bed :-)
