Pet's info: Dog | Border Collie | Male | neutered | 9 months and 15 days old | 22 lbs
I have a deaf border collie - almost one year old. We have had him since one day old as his mother gave birth to him. Since 4 months old he has started barking obbsessingly at visitors, he won't let them move- only likes when they are sitting. If they don't pat him he continues to bark. He is always very weary of people. The vet suggested a trainer as he was lunging at her and hates the vets. But he has been very friendly with visitors if they are just by them selves. He hates groups.

I agree with your vet that Bolt should see a trainer. Even though he doesn't like vets, it's aggressive behavior to lunge at her and shows that he will do it with individuals as well as people in groups. This is not a behavior you want to ignore, as it can progress to where he tries to bite people, whether individually or in groups. I would follow your vet's recommendation to have him seen by a trainer for this behavior.
