My dog has a dry cough and dry heaves at night. What can I do?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 1 year and 1 month old

Sometimes at night she will start coughing it's a dry cough and at the end sometimes she dry heaves. It has been happening some nights but not all. Is there anything I can do.

Try using a humidifier in the room Chloe sleeps in. The dryer winter air may be responsible. If it continues or she exhibits other symptoms (lethargy, difficulty breathing, exercise intolerance) then have her examined by your vet. Chest xrays, a heartworm test and bloodwork should all be considered in reaching a diagnosis.
