My cat has stitches and an E-collar. Can I put gauze on his raw wound?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 6 lbs

my cat was bitten badly he now has to wear and E collar. with his stitches can i put gauze and p-jelly on it and wrap him so he can eat a drink normal? the area is raw where his stitches are.

I would keep the Ecollar on to prevent Oliver from getting at his stitches. You can put gauze over it if the area is raw. He will be able to eat and drink with it on, cats learn to cope. It's very important that he doesn't rip out those stitches.
