The symptoms of pancreatitis in dogs include vomiting, vomiting undigested food, abdominal pain, fever, lethargy, anorexia, diarrhea, and a hunched up posture. If you are concerned that Ralph has pancreatitis, please take him into a vet immediately. That because pancreatitis is a life threatening disease that is fatal without treatment.

Yes, pancreatitis can be life-threatening if not diagnosed and treated right away. In dogs, fever, lack of appetite, depression, and vomiting are the most common signs. I'm not sure if that is feces or vomitus in the picture, but either way that is not a good sign. I recommend getting your dog to an emergency veterinarian right away.

Pancreatitis is inflammation of the pancreas, and it's very serious. Dogs can get it from eating too much fat. It can be fatal, and dogs often have to be hospitalized to treat it. Signs of pancreatitis include vomiting, abdominal pain, a hunched up appearance, lethargy, diarrhea, and anorexia.

Pancreatitis can range from not severe/home treatment to life-threatening even with advanced emergency treatment. If he is not responding to initial treatments including IV fluids and IV pain medications, he may need additional diagnostics to see what else could be going on. Rarely, I have diagnosed a tumor or abscess in the liver or pancreas that was causing the pancreatitis. I would recommend discussing your concerns with the veterinarian taking care of Lucky to discuss his prognosis at this time.

The clinical picture you described could be more complicated than just a pancreatic inflammation (pancreatitis). Pancreatitis is usually sterile and antibiotics are often not needed. To be able to give you more precise informations and advices, I would need to actually see the blood results she had done in the past plus the result of all the investigations eventually performed (radiographs, ultrasounds or anything else). Please describe what were the signs when she got sick (if not only vomiting diarrhoea and abdominal pain). Unfortunately this situation requires a long discussion; please request a consultation or keep writing on the forum. The chances of survival are related to her underlying conditions and the results of the tests performed so far.
