Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 8 years and 11 months old
My cat has been diagnosed with a kidney mass, most likely cancerous. I've decided not to put her through any invasive investigations and thus the vet can only determine she has a large mass but feels it may well be cancer. We are having the cat home on steroids. She is not eating well and we may have to syringe feed her. The mass is quite large. I don't suppose you can give an accurate answer, but how long do you think a cat with renal cancer will survive on steroid treatment only.

Survival is only good for Sox, if she has a good quality of life. Not eating well is a sign of not feeling well. She also may be in pain. I think you should ask her (observe her) whether she feels well enough to go on. Your kitty will tell you when it is time by the way she acts. I am so sorry for your trouble and I realize you do not want to lose her. But euthanasia is the best present you can give her if she is so ill. There is no way to predict a survival time.
