My kitten has a red, puffy eye with discharge. Is it an emergency?

My 3 month old kitten's eye is red and puffy. It doesn't seem to bother him much but he does have some discharge in the corner of his eye. Should I be worried or will this pass with time?

No, this won't go away with time, and Loki has to see a vet immediately. He could have an eye infection or could have suffered some trauma to his eye. Any eye condition should be considered an emergency, as leaving it untreated can lead to vision loss. Please take him into a vet right away, who can diagnose and treat his eye symptoms.
