My kitten has a red, puffy eye with discharge. Is it an emergency?

My 3 month old kitten's eye is red and puffy. It doesn't seem to bother him much but he does have some discharge in the corner of his eye. Should I be worried or will this pass with time? Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered
