Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 2 years and 10 months old

Stella ate a small piece of parchment paper chewed it up and ate it two days ago and last night ate something I didn't get to see what it was tried to get it but she was a little possessive so I backed off I think it was food but not sure. She's been acting normal should I be worried about intestinal obstruction/ what are symptoms

Persistent vomiting, abdominal pain and reluctance to eat are the main signs of an obstruction, difficulty passing feces can also occur if something gets stuck very far down. A small piece of paper would be unlikely to cause any discomfort but bones, stones and tots are common culprits
