I have a gorgeous little Maltese/poodle cross male, spayed, coming up eight in March. He eats nothing but raw kangaroo meat and raw chicken breasts and hearts. He is in great health, gets checked by the vet twice a year and comes from very good parentage. How much longer do you think my boy will live for? Hard Q I know but I'm just terrified of losing him. He gets plenty of exercise swimming in my pool in summer and a couple miles walking in winter. I love him soooooo much!

This is an impossibel question to answer, but small breed dogs, especially crossbreeds can live easily up to 15years in many cases. I recommend you discuss his diet with a trained nutritionist, particularly as he ages his nutritional requirements begin to change and he may need additional supplementation and altered protein levels - find below a useful link for a support service for home-prepared diets http://vetnutrition.tufts.edu/about-home-cooked-diets-for-pets/
