How to stop my dog from licking and biting after fleas are gone?

Hi, thank u for answering me. My 4 1/2 yr old pit had a huge problem with fleas over the summer. Several hot spots-he lost hair down by his butt & a spot on his tail-constant biting. Now he has no fleas at all & still licks & bites-leaving the crusty scabs. Hair is growing in nicely-Brewers yeast. What can I do to stop him? Now it's on his belly, under arms. Thank u very much.
