When can my unvaccinated puppy safely go outside in the garden?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 1 month and 25 days old

Aika is 8 weeks old and she hasn't got her first vaccinations yet. I wanted to take her outside in my garden for her to do her needs but I don't know if that could get her any parasites from the grass or do any harm. Should I take her outside in my garden or wait until she gets her vaccinations? And should I take her outside when she gets her first vaccination?

It's fine to take her to your back garden only before she is vaccinated, as long as there is no access to other dogs in your garden. she can catch fleas so i would recommend treating her for fleas regularly once she starts to go out.
