Pet's info: Dog | American Pit Bull Terrier
My dog has suddenly started pushing past us into rooms that he shouldn't. He used to act relatively normal and would stay out of these rooms, but now he desperately tries to push past us. He has also been consuming quite a lot of water lately and has a tendency to scratch at our doors to try to get us to open up so he can push in. What might cause this?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Dogs are naturally very curious animals and pushing into rooms is quite common- despite our best efforts at training. Perhaps he has developed a bit of separation anxiety and is scared of being left alone. If you think this might be the case, talk to your vet about options for anxiety. The drinking increase is of more concern to me and should be checked out by a vet as it could signal UTI, diabetes, kidney disease, hormone imbalances, or other troubles. Hope this helps! Best of luck to you and Fenrir!
