Why is my old cat sick, not eating, and peeing outside litter box?

Hello, my male cat (10) has been very sick for the past three days. Hes normally upbeat and cuddly but suddenly he didnt want to eat anmyore and doesnt use the kitty box. He didnt poop and urinated on the bed. He only laps small amounts of water, but it looks like its really hard for him to drink. Hes also super weak and keeps his eyes half closed... im really worried!! What is wrong with him? Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 9 years and 10 months old

I’m so sorry to hear about Tommy! It sounds like he could have an infection, kidney disease, or a host of other possible ailments. Any kitty who has been acting this way for 3 days needs to see the vet sooner rather than later. Your vet will likely recommend some bloodwork to help determine what is wrong and offer some treatments to help him feel better. Best of luck to you and Tommy!
