Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 12 years and 2 months old | 10 lbs
My girlfriend’s older cat got into a very short fight with our dog and as soon as it ended his mouth was bleeding. The bleeding stopped by the next day, but it continued to just keep pussing. It’s been three- four days since the fight. He hasn’t been his usual self and it appears that for some reason his eyes are now pussing too. We don’t have a lot of money to take him to the vet until we can get confirmation that he needs vet help. He won’t let us really get a look into his mouth either.

I am sorry to hear that Lestat is hurt and painful. Bite wounds almost always become infected, and by your description it sounds like he has an infection. I do think it wound be a wise idea to have him evaluated by your veterinarian as soon as possible. My concern in waiting would be the infection worsening to the point of him becoming septic. It is also the end of the week and if you aren’t seen tomorrow you may have to be seen an an emergency facility which is typically more expensive than a general day practice. Best of luck and I hope he improves soon. Thank you for using Pet Coach.
