Is it normal for a 5-month-old puppy to lose her front teeth?

Puppies lose their puppy teeth, and their adult teeth grow back in their place. This starts happening around four months of age, so yes this can be normal. You can have Luna checked by your vet to be sure since I can't say for certain without seeing her in person. Good luck, I hope this helps!

    Yes that could be normal as permanent dentition will be complete at around 6months. No treatment is usually required. Great question! Yes Luna is the right age for her puppy teeth to fall out, and it may be that her incisor (one of her front teeth) is crooked because it's about to fall out. Oftentimes when puppies lose their teeth, they simply swallow them and the owner doesn't find any teeth around the house. Her adult teeth should start growing in over the next couple months to replace her baby teeth as they fall out. I hope this helps!

I have a 5 month old poodle mix and his tooth fell out of nowhere. Just wanted to know if this is whole tooth and if he’s gonna lose more teeth
This is a baby tooth so it’s normal to lose them. Between four and six months dogs will lose all of their baby teeth. Sometimes you won’t see them when they fall out. Poodles do sometimes have retained canine baby teeth so if those aren’t gone by seven months they may need to be removed so the adult teeth can come in properly. Hi, my puppy is getting her adult teeth. I’ve been checking her for a while and I noticed that the adult canine teeth are erupting right beside her puppy canines on both sides of the upper part of her mouth. Is this normal?
Yes, this is normal. Sometimes small breed puppies may not lose the puppy teeth correctly, if the baby teeth are still there at 8 months of age, have her examined by the veterinarian. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.

Hi my puppy tooth came out tonight
Hi there and thanks for posting! It is not abnormal for puppy teeth to come out. Adult teeth will begin to come in and replace the puppy teeth around 4-6 months of age. Your dog should have a full set of adult teeth around a year of age.

Thank you for using Pet Coach! In general dogs should lose their canines between 5-6 months of age. However, some small breed dogs have canines that are very stubborn and don’t fall out. Occasionally we have to end up pulling these baby teeth. From the photo I suspect it is a baby tooth. If you have any concerns I would encourage you to have her evaluated by your veterinarian. My dog is 14 weeks old and I noticed two of her middle front teeth have fallen out/maybe got ripped out at some point today. I know that all dogs have a set of puppy teeth and adult teeth but I want to make sure it is okay that though her puppy teeth
This is completely normal and right on schedule. These are the first teeth to fall out. Adult teeth will appear in those spots soon. The teething process takes about 6-10 weeks total. Most of the time, the teeth just seem to disappear....puppies swallow them or they end up in the grass outside, etc. Usually the last teeth to fall out are the canine or “fang” teeth. My 14 week old German Shepard’s tooth fell out when I gave him a rawhide. It looked to be a premolar or molar. Is this normal?
Thank you for submitting your question regarding your puppy. Most puppies start losing baby teeth around 16 weeks of age. So this is a little early, but likely normal. You can check his front teeth and see if he has lost any of those as well. I hope this information helps!

Hi there. At this age, Luna is teething. It's likely that you are seeing the baby premolar becoming loose and getting ready to fall out, as the adult tooth begins to come in above it. This is a normal process, so you shouldn't need to do anything. If you want to be sure, I would recommend taking Luna in to a local veterinarian for a quick exam - he/she can confirm whether or not this is a normal baby tooth, or if there is some other problem.

One of my nephews grabbed a pillow and accidentally knocked out my puppy’s tooth.She is 4 months old.What should I do?
Thanks for using Boop by Petco. At 4 months puppies are loosing their baby teeth as their adult teeth erupt. Monitor for signs of swelling or pain but I suspect it was just a loose baby tooth knocked out.

Today I found my puppies tooth on the ground, there was no sign of blood or pain, should I be worried? Don't know when it fell out but I see another tooth growing.
This is totally normal, as puppies have baby teeth like ours that they shed. By the time Snow is around 6 months old she should have all her adult teeth and all the baby, or deciduous teeth, should be gone. Not to worry--hope that helps!
