Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed
Hi I just picked up a 7 week old German Sheppard golden retriever mix and been asking the owner who had her what food they have been feeding her but no one will answer me, so I started with dry puppy chow and a mix wet chow. Both chicken flavored so she ate it first day no problem, but lately she keep pooping watery poop since Monday. It’s been light brown to watery green now. Any advice. My mom say to try cooked rice with the puppy chow to help, but my puppy been having diaherra like crazy

I would recommend bringing Dakota to a veterinarian. Typically, I would recommend boiled chicken and white rice but due to her age I would recommend having a veterinarian make sure there are no intestinal parasites and that the diarrhea is just from the stress and diet change. Your veterinarian can also prescribe medication to help the diarrhea resolve. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.

It sounds like Penny has a bit of diarrhea. Feed her a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in her normal diet. If the diarrhea continues on the bland diet, she starts vomiting food, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, she will need to see a vet right away. Best of luck.
