My dog is having very bad blood rashes, with brittle nails, and hair loss. She has vomited twice today, but the rashes and hair loss and nails have been common for most of her life. I'm wondering if this could be a normal thing or if this could be eventually threatening for her health?

I am sorry to hear about Atlanta. I would not say that rashes, hair loss, and brittle nails are normal. As far as whether it could threaten her health it depends on the underlying cause. For example, we can have autoimmune diseases that affect the skin and nails which can lead to more serious illness. I would recommend an examination by a veterinarian who is experienced in dermatology. They may recommend a variety of tests such as skin scrapes to check for mites, cytology and culture to test for bacteria/yeast/fungus, and in some severe cases biopsy of the skin. Treatment options will depend on their findings.
