Is 4 days of Baytril enough for my pet's sneezing and diarrhea?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Small Animal | Rabbit | Female | unspayed

Hestia was sneezing and she had a bit of diarrhea, I took her to the vet, he gave her 0.20 ml of **Baytril 2.5% inj.(enrofloxacin), per ml** And he also have me 1.0 ml syringe of the same solution, and told me to give her 0.25 everyday for 4 days, is what he gave her good and enough, or should she continue the medicine for more days?

Yes, that should be enough antibiotics. If Hestia continues to have symptoms of sneezing and diarrhea after four days on the antibiotics then you should ask your veterinarian for more doses of antibiotics (probably another 4-5 days worth). Your vet may choose to switch to a different antibiotic. I would wait and see how Hestia is feeling after she completes all four days of the Baytril. However, if Hastia's symptoms get worse while on the Baytril, then take her back to the veterinarian for further evaluation/treatment. I hope this has helped. Thank you for using pet coach.
